United Azerbaijani Republic (Azeri: Azərbaycan Birləşmiş Respublikası), is the largest country in the Caucasus region located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe. It is bounded by the Caspian Sea to the east, Russia to the north, Federation of Armenia and Georgia to the west and Iran to the south. Iran to the south and west, while having a short borderline with Turkey to the northwest. The United Azerbaijani Republic seized the former Iranian provinces of North and West Azerbaijan and Ardabil in 2035 as the "Reclaiming the Homeland" or Vətən meliorasiyası policy of the Azerbaijani people.
The Azerbaijani government seized the Iranian occupied provinces of North and West Azerbaijan and Ardabil in 2035 as the "Reclaiming the Homeland" or Vətən Meliorasiyası policy of the Azerbaijani people. President Agha Hakim Shüleyaman signed a treaty with Ayatollah Sharif Dahlevi granting the three provinces to unify with Azerbaijan.
The Xalq Milli Məclisi or National Assembly of the People is in control of the Azerbaijani government.
